That’s right, she’s me: Marie Fleur.

Jeremy Lipking and his sparkling wife Danielle are probably two of the coolest folks I’ve ever met & I consider them dear old friends now. It’s an honor to be immortalized by one of the most famous young painters in the country. (Snoop Dog has even commissioned a portrait!) I remember when I first showed up Danielle declared, “Thank God other people are doing this now. Hey, want some rocky road ice cream!?” It was baffling how I even got into the situation in the first place and I felt pretty awkward being Catholic and nude in front of her husband but she put me at ease.

The kimono painting was the first one Jeremy painted. As I recall I was telling Jeremy a long detailed story about how my dog had tapeworms. That’s what an artist’s model has to bring to the table a) great stories b) the ability to sit there motionless for a long, long, long time & c) not feeling strange about being nude in front of strangers walking around which is the most difficult thing.
